Instituto Cervantes, Pimentel Music, and the NHCC celebrate Día de
la Hispanidad, a Spanish national holiday, with Pedro Navarro, an exceptional
young guitarist from Andalusia, Spain, who has captured the world with his
music, fusing flamenco, jazz, and classical styles to break the established
rules of guitar canon. He began playing guitar at the age of six, and
earned a degree from the Castellón Professional Conservatory of Music when he
was sixteen. Today, at 27, he exhibits a talent that has inspired music
critics to give him the nickname "Dedos con Duende" ("Magical
Fingers"). Navarro will be accompanied by guitarist Alejandro García
Ruiz.
