The intricate, yet monumental, blown glass and mixed media works of Einar and Jamex de la Torre mirror and address the complex experiences of living in a global society. Visually and socially timely, their work excels in peeling off the layers to get to the real issues of the twenty-first century. On view through August 16, 2009.

This exhibit examines some Mexican traditions and traces them to the trade that took place with the Philippines, especially through the port of Manila. Such Mexican icons as la China poblana, majólica pottery, papel chino, etc. are examined and their roots traced to the Manila trade which employed large galleon ships called Naos to transport merchandise and people.
