Highlighing recent acquisitions from the Center's Growing art collection, this installation features important objects from the 1930's to the present by artists from New Mexico and throughout the nation.

The intricate, yet monumental, blown glass and mixed media works of Einar and Jamex de la Torre mirror and address the complex experiences of living in a global society. Visually and socially timely, their work excels in peeling off the layers to get to the real issues of the twenty-first century. On view through August 16, 2009.

Enjoy the work of four contemporary New Mexican mixed media artists who transform the everyday and familiar into the extraordinary and fabulous. These artists integrate the aesthetic of bits and pieces into discrete visions bringing both whimsy and social commentary to their work. This new exhibit is funded and supported by artists and the NHCC "Art for the Artists Fund." The NHCC will offer education programming in conjunction with this exhibit that includes artist demonstrations, lectures, exhibition tours led by the artists, and hands-on workshops. All programs are free unless otherwise noted.
